ROWSE BEAUTY SHOWROOM

(CLOSE)

A former office of 220 m2 has been converted into a studio and showroom for the Rowse Beauty brand created by Nuria Val and Gabriela Salord. The project consists of the rehabilitation of a space on the third floor of a building located in the neighborhood of Poblenou, Barcelona. It is a rectangular space with a main facade that overlooks a block courtyard with lots of light. We wanted the place to transmit the values of the brand, that is, to make a serene and calm impression as the product itself, made with great affection and respect for nature. A space that expressed its Mediterranean character and its main values: minimalism, creativity and love for nature.

The main idea was the search for the Mediterranean, natural, handmade and with great attention to detail. The space is divided into three areas, the experience area, a meeting area and the work area, which in specific events also serves to expose the product. The first decision was to cover the space with white microcement and make the Mediterranean architecture present through the furniture. We love the light generated by the warm white matte floor when it receives the sun, because it transports you to the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. The sofa table is formed by Cristian Herrera, while the seating area is formed by the Kata chair designed by Alther Desile Park and the Tekio lamp by Santa&Cole. On the shelf next to the sofa where the firm's products are displayed, we find a Vacum piece by Valeria Vasi.

The first area serves to explain and test the product in a very close environment as if it were a house, so we thought of a large sofa that was connected in an architectural way with an area where a dressing table was enabled, consisting of a clay sink custom made by Robbie Whitehead, and a faucet specially designed and manufactured by a copper artisan. In the background, a large circular mirror is located next to the singular lamp signed by Miguel Milá. Next to the window, the large green sofa is transformed into a planter where an olive tree, a symbol of the classic Mediterranean, was planted.

On the other hand, we find a large table composed from the model 1123xF by Enzo Mari, and built by Coke Bartrina. The hand-made concept taken to its maximum splendor. We wanted all the elements that inhabit the space to have a story and share the story of craftsmanship and proximity. This area is illuminated by the lamp Lámina by Santa&Cole signed by Antoni Arola. In the entrance area appears the Colilla lamp by Santa&Cole with a curtain separation. The office and the entrance to the bathroom were made with an arched overture. One more detail in this search for Mediterranean architecture.

The meeting area is in the center and is the only space enclosed by a glass window mounted in iron finished with white paint. Next to this space, a set of curtains, open or close an area for shooting the product. Inside the space, a circular table serves for impromptu meetings and as a dining table for the people in the studio.

Inside the space, a circular table serves for impromptu meetings and as a dining table for people in the studio. It is a marble table with a central wooden leg, from Heaps and Woods. Illuminating this area Clara Quintana thought of the GT1000, in a green finish.
