THINKING MU POP UP

(CLOSE)

A pop-store in Barcelona's "Rambla de Catalunya" shopping mall. For the sustainable clothing brand "Thinking Mu", brings to life its slogan "For the love of art". Through sculptural pieces, collaborations with artists and other brands from Barcelona.

The goal was to create a versatile and dynamic space in which the brand could showcase its current and future collections in the different pop ups that will be opened in Europe.

The actual collection"For the love of art", wants to show that as a brand they invest time and effort in things they love without expecting anything in return. And the concept of the space aims to portray this message through its design. A space that conveys this mission by treating each piece as a work of art, a sculpture made by local artisans. A collaboration between the design, manufacture and use of each item. Reaffirming the message through collaborations with other brands and artists who have this same passion as Rowse Beauty, GIGIStudios, Olend, Deren Rice, Omote Sando, Alejo Palacios with his paintings that can be found in Alzueta Gallery.

Thinking Mu is a strong advocate of natural and eco-friendly manufacturing. A theme that is evident in the history of the brand and the outcome of their designs. The project brings this concept to the space by using natural and organic materials that give the space a raw and human look. Through the use of raw materials. The store, which will be open for three months, is designed with modular and transportable furniture made of wood and metal. All the furniture has been designed keeping in mind that the same image could be reproduced in other spaces and cities in Europe.

The purpose of the project was to start from a simple and serene base. Clean up the space by giving a layer of color to the existing place. Paint it in a warm white tone to create a cozy atmosphere, and give prominence to the colorful and lively clothes of the brand. The furniture that accompanies the clothes is full of small details that if you look closely bring great beauty and sensitivity to the project without generating noise and trying to give a physical store look to a totally ephemeral space.
